I'm going to try listening with ear buds. Here is a question for anyone who was there or at a crue show at a similar size venue. Was Nikkis bass audible. I hear a lot of shit about his skill or lack of on bass guitar. I'm a long time bassist myself so I'd like to hear him and judge for myself.

Just think if Ace Frehley was playing the “Ace Frehley” licks from this album! Sorry. Tommy is a great imitator, but the signature ACE sound is what made KISS sound like KISS.

I!remain confused. His playing could be so melodic and then fire up the pyrotechnics to add a bit of fire. Maybe he never had the balance I imagined? Learning about the other players on COTN etc. Ultimately, it's clear he understands songwriting etc. I would love to hear him bring that musical sensibility and apply to catch memorable melodic solos that don't focus on shred/speed.... I think he actually may find at least an audience for his songwriting. Eh, I guess we'll never know.

What the heck is the sound engineer doing when Paul switched to Gene´s mic in "Creatures of the night"?! You have to raise the volume, when the lead singer switch to the backup singers mic, you dufus.
